PORCH DECORATING FOR FALL

Decorating for your porch for Fall can be an easy and fast makeover! I love decorating my porch for fall more than I do Christmas. I enjoy working outside. This year I had grabbed my mums when they were just beginning to bud out which is the best way in my opinion. Feel like they last way longer too! I picked up some heirloom pumpkins and white pumpkins to start. Here is what I started with…..

Transitioning to Fall

I like to transition my summer plants into fall. I buy a dark burgundy ornamental grass and it grows all summer. Then when fall comes, the color transitions well. This year, you can see it on my porch in the tall black planters. They didn’t do as well because of the shade. Also I left my pink petunias this time. I didn’t have the heart to tear them out just yet. If I have time I may move them around back and throw in the pumpkins. The million bells were spindly looking so I took them out of the front and added in the stacked pumpkins. This way I have used what I have but transitioned it to fall. Saves money and time.

I have a favorite local farmer that we get ours from so it doesn’t cost a fortune to decorate. I spent $60 on these pumpkins and the two white mums.

I’ve always loved white pumpkins, the blueish heirloom and white mums! So that’s my go to!! White flowers will always stand out and are way more showy! Yellow is always my next choice because that’s my favorite color.

These are some super simple ways to add in some fall to your front porch!
