Wood bead garland
One thing that I have always wanted to make is wood bead garland. These are so versatile but I never had the supplies to make. I added some to my Amazon cart on my last order so I could try. You could make garland, hangers for signs, hangers on ornaments, small garland for lamps or styled in trays. These are just a few things that you could make with the beads. This size will definitely be ones that I will try to keep on hand. I left these natural for what I wanted, but you could have totally painted or had multiple sizes added.
Here are the supplies you will need for the garland:
- wood beads (I used size 20mm)
- hemp string
- scissors
Here is a super quick video of me stringing the garland to the size I needed for my mantle.
Once I had them strung to the length I wanted, I simply tied a knot in the end and made a small loop for me to hang. Super easy project and it has taken me longer to write this post than actually do the project.
The wood beads are from Amazon https://amzn.to/3gUTuYp (affiliate link) in size 20 mm and the hemp string is from Walmart.
Here it is strung on my mantle and probably will be where it stays. If I get tired of it, I can always take apart and use on another project. This is a great project for any time of the year or season.
I hope you enjoyed this project and grab you some wood beads to make it. These can be used year around and doesn’t have to be Christmas.
